Susan Benhardt received her formal photography training at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. She
also holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Film. Photographically, she shares an interest in still photography as well as cinematography. Most recently, Susan was in Ghana and South Africa for the PBS project "Pioneers of Africa" as both Director of Photography and Still Photographer. Her photographs of Africa will be published in a book with the same title as the series. Susan's still photographs are represented in galleries as well as corporations. Her landscapes of Sundance, Utah, are especially well-known. "The photographs of Minor White and Paul Caponigro have drawn me into the mystery of imagery;" Benhardt says, "I seek after the sublime essence of a subject, or the inner landscape."
