Check out this exceptional site!

A photographic gallery of original, large-format prints of the American wilderness, by wilderness photographer Walt Puciata. Current showing is a collection of color photography with water as a central unifying theme. A visual symphony of life, the fine prints follow water’s course in nature from the exquisitely detailed intimacy of rain-drop covered mountain wild flowers to luminous, emotionally stirring, magenta skied sunsets on the Pacific Coast. Featured together or showcased individually, each strongly compelling image is a testimony to the glorious beauty of nature.
Born in 1966 in France, I start shoting the landscape nature in 1986. Interested by the forms, the volumes and the light that I can find in the landscape, I shot, with large format camera, the nature as I see it : a vision of landscape stripped of all human, social or cultural presence, essentially based on the choice of the subject that expresses the pureness of line, the rendering of the subject matter and the light, trying at the same time to nurture the viewer with emotions as intense as those experienced while taking the shot.
